HTTPS changes coming

Google chrome will label all HTTP sites as insecure as of 23rd July once Chrome updates (v.68) have gone out.  This means any user that navigates to your site will receive a notification saying the site is ‘NOT SECURE’.

Why;

This is a step closer to ensuring were all using a secure and trusted internet.

Adding an SSL certificate will mean that the users of your sites will have additional protection against unwanted attacks.  It creates an secure, encrypted communication line between the server and the end user.  HTTPs uses port 443 (rather than 80 for HTTP) and utilises the HTTP protocol over an SSL/TLS connection.

Recommendations;

Get an SSL certificate and apply it, I have included a link to a free service however you can normally contact your hosting provider who will sort this for you.
